【讲座题目】Assessing and Planning Hydrogen Systems for Industrial and Transportation Decarbonization
【主 讲 人】Guannan He, MIT
Guannan He is a postdoctoral associate at MIT Energy Initiative. He received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in 2019 and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University. His research interests lie in energy system optimization, control, and analytics, with a large focus on the decision making of energy storage and hydrogen resources for renewable energy integration.
Storing renewable energy in hydrogen at scale to electrify energy-intensive sectors for deep decarbonization has become more and more attractive, because of the dramatic and continued cost reductions of renewable electricity from solar and wind. In this talk, I will share some recent results about techno-economic assessment and planning of renewable-based hydrogen production for industrial decarbonization. I would also like to discuss some ongoing efforts in hydrogen supply chain modelling for transportation decarbonization.
